Hello and thank you for joining us in this DIY adventure! I have been designing and creating interactive devices (toys) for birds and other animals for over 25 years. We’ve designed for birds, reptiles, big cats and even elephants. Each device we create has a purpose in mind. The animals don’t always use the toys the way we planned but we strive to create safe and engaging opportunities.

Mark and I get asked all the time “how do you come up with toy ideas”. We also hear “I’m not creative”. We decided to offer a DIY kit group to help get people over the “I’m not creative” hurdle and maybe to inspire some new ideas to enhance your companion birds’ overall welfare.

Each month will feature a theme and a kit to go with it. The kits will be available on our website. If you register for the month you will also receive access to the DIY video for the kit, an invitation to a live webinar and an article on enhancing your bird’s quality of life through enrichment and training. You can choose to purchase the package and the kit or just register for the package and use parts you may already have.

Our hope is to build a group of bird lovers who want to be more involved in creating their bird’s enrichment opportunities. The monthly webinars will allow participants the opportunity to share ideas and ask questions of me and fellow bird enthusiasts. The DIY videos will be step by step instructions on how to build that month’s toy.
